Farm-to-Table Tempura & Seasonal Sake Pairing Course

Local Fields to Your Plate: A Taste of the Season.

An intimate ten-seat counter that still echoes the historic design of the Former Inami Art Museum. Here, the farmer-chef transforms the rich bounty of nature into an exquisite dining experience. Savor each piece of freshly fried tempura, perfectly timed and meticulously prepared using the chef’s own prized rice, fresh vegetables from his private garden, and seasonal ingredients sourced from trusted local farming partners. Coupled with a curated pairing of three exceptional local sakes, this is a truly exclusive moment that connects you directly to the earth.

Restaurant

Inami Kasugai

Focusing on the finest seasonal ingredients from Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture, Inami Kasugai is a specialty tempura restaurant dedicated to celebrating the distinct beauty of Japan’s four seasons. The owner-chef, Eiji Shimizu, places the utmost importance on “the flavors that can only be experienced at this very moment in time.” As a farmer himself, Chef Shimizu carefully expresses the unique essence of each season in every single dish—utilizing his own prized rice, fresh vegetables grown by his local farming peers, freshly caught seafood from Toyama Bay, and deeply rooted traditional ingredients.

Menu

This signature course celebrates the seasonal bounty of Nanto City and Toyama. Enjoy traditional Japanese appetizers and pristine sashimi from Toyama Bay, followed by seasonal tempura served one piece at a time at the absolute perfect moment.
